The Chonk Chart is a scientific (not really) chart that is used to determine how chonk your cat is. The Chonk Chart is made up of six different categories that describe the overall shape and Chonkiness of your cat. The Chonk Chart categories include: A Fine Boi, He Chonk, A Heckin Chonker, Hefty Chonk, Megachonker, & OH LAWD, HE COMIN’. We will break down each category chonk by chonk so you know exactly what the Chonk Chart is and how it works.

A Fine Boi
A Fine Boi is a cat that is very lean and healthy but not malnourished. Body fat on A Fine Boi will range between 16-25%. Fine Boi cats can usually be found in the wild, but there are also plenty of domesticated Fine Bois too.

He Chonk
A He Chonk is used to describe a cat that is slightly plump but not overweight. Body fat on a He Chonk will be between 25-30%. The He Chonk still looks happy, healthy, and super cuddly. This is probably the best kind of chonk cat since their perfectly plump weight poses little risk to the cat’s overall health.

A Heckin Chonker
The Heckin Chonker is a term used to describe a cat that is noticeably chunky, plump or heavier than average. A Heckin Chonker will have body fat in the range of 36-45%. Significantly chonky with a round belly, the Heckin Chonker is chonky with confidence. This type of chonk cat is starting to enter Hefty Chonky territory. Check in with your vet to see what you can do to help your cat reach a healthy weight.

Hefty Chonk
A Hefty Chonk is a very large cat that is round and undeniably chonky. The significant amount of body mass makes this cat adorable, but likely overweight. Hefty Chonk cats typically have body fat in the range of 46-55%. Play time with a laser pen will help this cat shed some pounds, in addition to portion control for meals.

Megachonker
The Megachonker is immensely round and heavy. Extremely chonky, the Megachonker may struggle to jump or move quickly. Megachonker cats will have body fat in the range of 56-65%. Megachonker cats are almost certainly obese, and that can lead to serious health risks, including diabetes, arthritis, heart disease, and shortened life spans. A cat of this size should be in the care of a veterinarian for weight loss aid.

OH LAWD, HE COMIN’
Look out because HE COMIN’! The OH LAWD, HE COMIN’ cat is visibly enormous, with a wide, lumbering walk and so colossally chonk it makes people say: OH LAWD! Body fat on a OH LAWD, HE COMIN’ cat is over 65%. Like the Megachonker, we recommend that a cat of this size be in the care of a veterinarian for aid in losing weight.
